It started with baking cookies. We baked a lot of them for family and friends – often with family and friends.
Along the way, two of us opened a bakery and made lots of cakes and pretty desserts, assisted by a third friend who designed the bakery website and shared her specialty: comfort food.
Then one of us left the bakery and moved on to another career but just couldn’t get baking out of her system. She teamed up with her BFF (who comes up with the yummiest cookie ideas) and went back to baking cookies for family and friends. They kicked Cookie Week up a a few notches and made it an event, inviting friends from near and far to join in. And when things like social media happened and requests started rolling in for recipes, a blog just seemed like the right way to share the fun.
Here we are today, four of us, still baking, making pretty cakes and reigning over our kitchen empires. And sometimes we travel to some really exotic places, where the food can be quite interesting. We’ll talk about that once in a while too.
